A.
B. Simpson:
A. B. Simpson (1843-1919) was one of the most important Christian
workers of his day. He was an ardent soul-winner and was active
in raising up new believers and in training Christian workers.
This sketch outlines some of the details of the life and work
of this notable servant of the Lord.

Courage
for Christ: The Life of C.T. Studd - C. T. Studd was among
the most privileged young men of his day. Born into a wealthy
British family and educated at England's best schools, he became
famous in his own right as one of the greatest cricket players
England had seen. Yet C. T. Studd forsook all-fortune, future,
and fame-for the sake of Christ. As one of the "Cambridge Seven,"
he left his family and homeland to labor for Christ in China,
in India, and later in Africa.

G.
Campbell Morgan: G. Campbell Morgan’s writings have profound
insight, are unique in utterance and are unparalleled in expression.
He rarely quoted other Bible teachers, neither did he rely on
light others received. Yet his Biblical expositions are so thought-provoking
and inspiring that one cannot help but be left in awe of what
this brother received from the Word.

James
Hudson Taylor - J. Hudson Taylor arrived in China when
there were only 350 Protestant believers. When he died there were
over 175,000. When Taylor landed there were less than 80 missionaries
in China, mostly on the coast. When he passed away there were
3,800 throughout that vast land. The largest group of workers
was Taylor's "China Inland Mission". Hudson Taylor founded the
first "faith mission," without denominational backing, which inspired
numerous other "faith missions" to other gospel fields.

Jesse
Penn-Lewis: "I saw that God had given me a specific commission
to proclaim the message of the Cross, at a time when it had almost
ceased to be referred to in the pulpits. I saw also that God miraculously
opened doors before me to proclaim this message, which no man
could shut."

Robert
Chapman: Chapman is not well known. He did not author
any monumental books. When he began to minister, friends said
he would never make a good preacher. Yet Chapman became a living
legend. John Nelson Darby said of him: "He lives what I teach."

To
Taiwan with the Gospel - George Leslie Mackay - George
Leslie Mackay was born on March 21, 1884 in Zorra township near
Woodstock, Oxford county, 100 miles west of Toronto, Canada. As
a young missionary he "felt some unseen influence directing his
attention to Formosa [Taiwan]." From 1865 till his death in 1901
Mackay's preaching the gospel of Jesus was his labor of love.

William
Law: "Thousands stand ready to split doctrinal hairs and
instruct others in the fine meaning of Scripture words - but there
are so few through whom the Holy Spirit can work to bring men
to new birth in the kingdom of God."
